The SIDS Tourism Organizations Forum sets the precedent pioneering a vision for SIDS Tourism and developing a Tourism-blueprint for economic recovery, bringing new and fresh perspectives into the Industry aiding communities through blue/circular economy, development of the creative industry, building ethnic & indigenous economy, facilitating employment-opportunities, improving education, accelerating social entrepreneurship, advocating sustainable economic development-practices with intent creating tangible ideas, innovations and solutions, as well as identifying opportunities aiding economic, environmental, human & social developments across SIDS.
The development for a SIDS Tourism Blueprint must strategically position SIDS in various capacities for impact as the stunning yet picturesque natural and physical landscape making up SIDS has unprecedented opportunities for innovation and creativity, straying away from conventional travel and tourism strategies, and regional collaboration to destination-market SIDS is in place with the propensity changing regional tourism environments.
SIDS Tourism Organizations Forum would simultaneously integrate Tourism Associations/Organizations from the Caribbean, the Pacific and the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and South China Sea (AIMS), with a collective consensus for the development of new tourism-products with unique value-propositions aimed at attracting diversified global markets worldwide.
The SIDS Tourism Organizations Forum is being scheduled late 2022 and more to come soon….
The Forum lays the foundation for an ever-closer union among the peoples of SIDS with the propensity for the enlargement of SIDS Economic Community with the Caribbean, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean & South China Sea (AIMS).
Work would focus on the areas of expertise, three related empirical tasks where SIDS Economic Community (SIDSEC) would have the greatest impact:
Along with regional organizations and partner organizations, the Forum serves to establish SIDSEC as an international organization focused solely on trade development for its countries and transitioning economies, deliver effective trade-related technical assistance and to achieve the goal of expanding exports, develop effective working partnerships as well as greater levels of coherence and coordination, build on the capabilities of each country/s bringing about even greater trade impact for good and implement SIDSEC projects and programs with global efforts to achieve UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development and the Aid for Trade agenda.
Within the confines of the concept of the ‘blue economy’ emerging from the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development held in Rio de Janeiro in 2012, the Forum would incorporate an even broader definition where “Blue Economy” is the sustainable industrialization of the oceans to the benefit of all.
In reality, the Forum would combine all sectors of the economy that rely on the ocean directly or indirectly, including the use of ocean resources such as fish and minerals as well as trade and tourism.
